So our debut album is out and we are super stoked on the result! (Mad love and respect to everyone who showed us support along the way!)
But no time for slacking, a slight moment to catch our breath and reflect on the album and then back to business.
Christian had prepared and edited three drum tracks ready for tracking.
So as soon as my exams where done i packed my bags and jumped on the first train to Koppang and hooked up with Christian at his house.
We started off with a short, frantic and explosive tune.
We had some ideas for both bass and guitar sounds which fit nicely together so we rolled with that.
The second song is definently more groove dominant and straight up swaggin..HAHA
For this song we might try reamping the guitars and perhaps the bass...just because it seems like the obvious thing to do.
The third song is a lengthy prog tune with a slighty more black metal inspiration than previous tunes.
This song was truly exciting to record mainly because it is one of the fresher tunes but also because we recorded the guitar and bass together.
This recording approach brought out a new energy to the song and we will surely consider this approach in the future.
For this tune Christian tweaked and found an amazing bass tone that will make heads roll!
The recording process this time around was much more pleasant and relaxing.
The main reason for this is i think we are starting to feel more comfortable and confident in our music and instruments.
A week was spent in the woods of Norway and new music is on the way.
Next in line is the Bergen trio aka Morten, Martin and Magnus where rhythm, lead guitars and vocal recording will take place.
